Edward Albee, Thornton Wilder Plays to Be Part of Berkshire Theatre Group Season
Berkshire Theatre Group has announced its 2019 summer season.
On the Fitzpatrick Main Stage, the company will present a new production of Thornton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeth (July 11-August 3), directed by David Auburn; and the world premiere of Kathleen Clark's What We May Be (August 8-31), directed by Gregg Edelman.
At the Unicorn Theatre, Eric Hill will direct a new production of Edward Albee's The Goat or, Who Is Sylvia? (May 24-June 15); Raiders of the Lost Ark star Karen Allen will direct a production of John Patrick Shanley's Outside Mullingar (June 19-July 13); James Barry will direct a production of Working: A Musical (July 18-August 24) in the updated version featuring new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, James Taylor, and more; and Mark Harelik will direct his own play What the Jews Believe (September 26-October 20).
And at the Colonial Theatre, Randal Myler will direct Rock and Roll Man: The Alan Freed Story (June 27-July 21); Travis Daly will direct Shrek the Musical (August 1-17); and Joel Zwick will direct Hershey Felder in George Gershwin Alone (August 24-31).
