A new musical by Joe Iconis and a revival of The Pirates of Penzance from the creative team of Broadway's On the Town are on tap for this summer's upcoming season at Barrington Stage Company in the Berkshires.

The world premiere of Broadway Bounty Hunter, with a score by Iconis and a book by Iconis and his frequent collaborators Lance Rubin and Jason 'SweetTooth' Williams, will run from August 12-September 3 at Barrington's St. Germain Stage. Starring Annie Golden (Violet), the work is inspired by the Blaxploitation movies of the 1970s and tells the story of Annie, a 60-year-old unemployed actor who becomes a bounty hunter in an effort to capture a drug warlord.

Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance will be directed by John Rando and choreographed by Joshua Bergasse, both Tony nominees for the recent Broadway revival of On the Town, which originated at Barrington. The classic operetta will run from July 15-August 13 on the theater's Mainstage.

Also on the season's Mainstage lineup are Christopher Demos-Brown's American Son, directed by Julianne Boyd (June 17-July 9); Nina Raine's Tribes, directed by Jenn Thompson (August 18-September 3); and Mark St. Germain's Camping with Henry and Tom (October 5-23). The St. Germain stage season also includes the world premiere musical Presto Change-O, by Joel Waggoner and Eric Price, directed by Marc Bruni (May 18-June 11) and David Lindsay-Abaire's Kimberly Akimbo, directed by Rob Ruggiero (June 16-July 9).
