Joe Brack, Ryan Mercer to Lead The Kennedy Center’s The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg

The Kennedy Center will present the world premiere of The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg in the Family Theater, November 17-December 9. Direction will be by Gregg Henry.

Adapted by Tom Isbell from the Newbery Honor book by Rodman Philbrick, The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg is the tale of a 12-year-old boy who saves his older brother at the Battle of Gettysburg and then helps lead the Union to victory.

The cast will include Joe Brack (Harold Figg/Smelt/Frank Nibbly/Roustabout/Dennett Bobbins/Confederate #2), Veronica del Cerro (Kate Nibbly/Minerva/Confederate #1/Union Soldier), Michael Glenn (Squinton Leach/Mr. Brewster/Steward/Union Sergeant/Captain/Fearsome Sergeant/Union Soldier), James J. Johnson (Samuel Reed), Ryan Mercer (Homer P. Figg), Michael Russotto (J. T. Marston/Mrs. Bean/Mr. Willow/Mysterious Stranger/General Jeb Stuart/Union Soldier), and Michael Sazonov (Sergeant/Stink/Professor Fleabottom/Colonel Chamberlain).

The design team will consist of Dan Conway (set design), Kathleen Geldard (costume design), Nancy Schertler (lighting design), Elisheba Ittoop (sound design), and Tim Jones (prop design).
