Complete casting has been announced for Memphis, featuring a book by Joe Di Pietro with a score by Bon Jovi's David Bryan. The musical will play Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre January 27-February 15, with an opening set for February 5. Christopher Ashley will direct, with choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

Set in the segregated South of the 1950s, Memphis follows the fictionalized life story of white radio disc jockey Huey Calhoon, who first shocks a city by playing black music on mainstream radio, and later publicly proclaims his love for the beautiful black singer who inspires him. The musical is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse.

As at La Jolla, the musical stars Montego Glover (Felicia) and Chad Kimball (Huey). Other cast members include Allen Fitzpatrick as Mr. Simmons, James Iglehart as Bobby, and Cass Morgan as Huey's mother, with the role of Delray shared by J. Bernard Calloway (January 27-February 10) and Melvin Abston (February 10-15).

The cast will also include Anne Allgood, Brad Bass, Tracee Beazer, Josh Breckenridge, Kevin Covert, Dionne Figgins, Meaghan Foy, Cashae Monya, Jill Morrison, John Eric Parker, Maya RS Perkins, Jermaine Rembert, Daniel Watts, Charlie Williams, Ty Willis, and R. Hamilton Wright.
