Full casting has been announced for the American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) production of Jean Racine's tragedy Phèdre in a world premiere translation by Timberlake Wertenbaker. Carey Perloff will direct the production, which will run January 15-February 7, with an opening set for January 20.

In the play, Phèdre, queen of Athens, is caught in an agonizing love triangle with her husband and his son by a former lover. As previously announced, Seana McKenna will play the title role, with the cast also featuring Thomas McCamus as Theseus, Jonathan Goad as Hippolytus, Roberta Maxwell as Oenone, Claire Lautier as Aricie, and Sean Arbuckle as Théramène with Sophia Holman and Mairin Lee.

Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang has composed the original score, with the creative team also including Christina Poddubiuk (scenic and costume designer) and James F. Ingalls (lighting designer).
