John Schneider and Nancy Travis to Join ABC’s Desperate Housewives

Stage and television stars John Schneider and Nancy Travis will have recurrring roles on ABC’s Desperate Housewives this fall, as the father and mother of Keith (played by series newcomer Brian Austin Green), according to EW.com.
Schneider has starred on Broadway in Chicago and Grand Hotel; his other stage credits include The Will Rogers Follies, Brigadoon, The Music Man, and Mame. He is best known for his television work, including The Dukes of Hazzard, Smallville, and Nip/Tuck.
Travis recently appeared in the Geffen Playhouse’s production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore and is best known for her television work, including Becker and The Bill Engvall Show.
As previously reported, theater veterans Vanessa Williams, Lainie Kazan, Lois Smith, and Emily Bergl will also join the cast of the show this season. The series’ stars include Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria Parker, Marcia Cross, Ricardo Chavira, Doug Savant, and Tuc Watkins.
