PHOTO FLASH: Brian Stokes Mitchell, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, BD Wong at Rosie’s Theater Kids Event

BD Wong hosted Rosie’s Theater Kids’ Passing It On at Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater on Tuesday, March 27.

The event featured the young participants in the program performing a show which they learned in tandem with mega mentors like Audra McDonald, BD Wong, Brandon Victor Dixon, Dana Moore, and Derick K Grant, among others. The event honored Tom Viola, Executive Director of Broadway Cares / Equity Fights Aids. Special guests included Brian Stokes Mitchell.

Following the show, the newly formed RTK Junior Board held an exclusive after-party for the junior contingent. Impromptu performances took place around the grand piano at the penthouse, thanks to RTK’s Musical Director (and pianist), Steven Jamail, including a few numbers by Katie Rose Clarke, formerly Glinda in Broadway’s Wicked, and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, who is currently on Broadway in Godspell.
