Target Margin Announces TMT Lab: Exploring Yiddish Theater Line-Up

Target Margin Theater has announced the selections in its annual TMT Lab: Exploring Yiddish Theater, set to run October 17-November 3 at The Brick.

The mainstage schedule includes Jacob Gordin’s God, Man, and Devil, with Donya K. Washington (October 17-21); Dukus by Alter Kacyzne, with Joshua William Gelb (October 24-28); and a double-bill of Samuel Daixel’s After Midnight with Stephanie Weeks and David Pinski’s Cripples, with Ásta Bennie Hostetter (October 30-November 3).

Late night performances include I.L. Peretz’s A Night in the OLD Marketplace with Kathleen Purcell (October 19-20); Purim-schmutz with Joseph Fletcher (October 26-27); and Abraham Goldfaden’s operetta Shulamis, or The Well and the Pussycat with Gil Sperling (November 2-3).

Free events will include a reading of Peretz Hirschbein’s The Haunted Inn on October 21 directed by David Herskovits; and a panel discussion titled The Other Yiddish Plays, featuring Debra Caplan, Caraid O’Brien, Alyssa Quint, and Nahma Sandrow.
