Christine Baranski, Kelli Barrett, Shonn Wiley, and More Celebrate Closing Night of Encores! On Your Toes

The production, directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, ran at New York City Center May 8-12.

The cast and creative team of the New York City Center Encores! production of the 1936 Rodgers and Hart musical On Your Toes toasted the show’s brief run with a closing night party in the theater’s mezzanine lobby on Sunday, March 12. With a score by the acclaimed songwriting team and a book by George Abbott, the production was directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, with musical direction by Rob Fisher.

Leading the company of the Encores! staging were Shonn Wiley as dancer-turned-music teacher Junior Dolan, Kelli Barrett as songwriter Frankie Frayne, Christine Baranski as producer Peggy Porterfield, Walter Bobbie as maestro Sergei Alexandrovitch, American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Irina Dvorovenko as ballerina Vera Baronova, New York City Ballet principal dancer Joaquin De Luz as dancer Konstantine Morrosine, Jeremy Cohen as composer Sidney Cohn, Randy Skinner as Phil Dolan II, Karen Ziemba as Lil Dolan, and Dalton Harrod as Phil Dolan III.

Featured in the ensemble were Adam Bashian, Brandon Bieber, Justin Bowen, Abby Church, Rachel Coloff, Steve Czarnecki, Christine DiGiallonardo, Deanna Doyle, Ashlee Dupre, Sara Edwards, Jason Michael Evans, Kurt Froman, Luke Hawkins, Jessy Hendrickson, Beth Johnson-Nicely, Drew King, Mark Mackillop, Sean McGibbon, Mara Newberry, David Scott Purdy, Ariel Shepley, Nicholas Sipes, Kathy Voytko, and Alex Wong.
