Nicole Beharie, Christopher Meloni Cast in 42 Film

Stage and screen stars Christopher Meloni and Nicole Beharie will co-star in Brian Hegeland’s film 42, according to Deadline.com.
The film, which focuses on the racial integration of Major League Baseball, will star Chadwick Boseman as Jackie Robinson,and Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey.
Meloni’s stage credits include A View from the Bridge and The Rainmaker. He is well-known for his work on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU and HBO’s Oz. Meloni will join the cast of HBO’s True Blood next season and will also be seen in the upcoming film, Superman: Man of Steel.
Beharie’s stage credits include the Broadway production of Free Man of Color. Her previous film and television credits include Shame, The Express and The Good Wife.
