Full cast and creative team information has been announced for Jobsite Theater's Southeastern premiere of A Dream Play, a new version of August Strindberg's surreal opera, adapted by Caryl Churchill, to be presented at The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, June 12-29.
Following the logic of a dream, in which images and characters merge and separate, and locations change in an instant, A Dream Play is a mix of Freud and Alice in Wonderland when Agnes comes to Earth and becomes caught up in the sufferings and cruelties of mankind.
The cast will feature Kari Goetz as Agnes with an ensemble of Ami Sallee Corley, Jason Evans, Steve Garland, Amy E. Gray, Spencer Meyers, Steve Mountan, Christen Pettit, and Soolaf Rasheid. The design team will feature David M. Jenkins (sound), Brian Smallheer (sets and lights), and Katrina Stevenson (costumes).
