Mary Murphy of television's So You Think You Can Dance will now join the company of the Broadway show Burn the Floor at the Longacre Theatre beginning December 22, paired with Ballroom Champion Vaidas Skimelis. The show has also announced that it will now close on January 10 instead of the previously announced February 14. A world tour will begin in late February 2010, and include 30 U.S. cities.

In addition, previously announced guests Edyta Sliwinska and Alec Mazo, from ABC's Dancing With the Stars, will no longer perform on Broadway.

The show is created, directed and choreographed by Jason Gilkison, and blends Latin and Ballroom dance. It was first conceived as a special performance at Sir Elton John's 50th birthday celebration in 1997. Two years later, the show made its world premiere in the U.K., and it has since toured globally.

The company is currently headlined by Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kym Johnson, with the cast also including Henry Byalikov, Sharna Burgess, Artem Chigvintsev, Kevin Clifton, Sasha Farber, Jeremy Garner, Karen Hauer, Patrick Helm, Sarah Hives, Melanie Hooper, Peta Murgatroyd, Giselle Peacock, Nuria Santalucia, Mirko Sciolan, Emma Slater, Sarah Soriano, Katarina Stumpfova, Damon & Rebecca Sugden, Damian Whitewood, Robin Windsor, and Gary Wright. The dancers are supported by two vocalists, Ricky Rojas and Rebecca Tapia.
