Fulbright Award winner Laura Lapidus’ new play To Have and To Hold will star Chicago Fire‘s Yuriy Sardarov as Peter, Lapidus as Kate, and The Pitt‘s Tedra Millan as Bianca.

Directed by Zoë Adams, the play runs August 21-September 12, with an opening night set for August 24, at ChaShaMa’s 154 Theater.

In To Have and To Hold, Bianca has always been the center of her sister and best friend Kate’s world. But when Bianca gets engaged, Kate, who never wants to get married, must decide whether she’s willing to let go of the beliefs that have always defined her. Through the lens of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew, the play explores sisterhood, identity, grief, and the complicated process of growing into yourself.

The production features scenic design by Se Oh, costume design by Mieka van der Ploeg, lighting design by Yang Yu, and sound design by Liam Bellman-Sharpe.
