Shakespeare Theatre Company Extends The Servant of Two Masters logo
The Shakespeare Theatre Company has extended its run of the Carlo Goldoni classic: The Servant of Two Masters, adapted by Constance Congdon. Christopher Bayes directs this commedia dell'arte production, at the Lansburgh Theatre, which will now play through July 8.

The Servant of Two Masters centers on the wily servant Truffaldino, played by Steven Epp, who devises a zany scheme to double his wages by serving two masters at once. Mayhem erupts when identities are mistaken, engagements are broken and lovers are reunited in this commedia dell'arte masterpiece.

The cast also includes Danielle Brooks as Clarice, Liam Craig as Brighella, Allen Gilmore as Pantalone, Andy Grotelueschen as Silvio, Rachel Spencer Hewitt as Beatrice, Jesse J. Perez as Florindo, Don Darryl Rivera as Il Dottore and Liz Wisan as Smeraldina. Ensemble members include Paul Edward Hope and Paul Reisman.

The sound designers are Nathan A. Roberts and Charles Coes and the composers and musicians are Aaron Halva and Chris Curtis.

In addition to the Washington, D.C. run, STC's production of The Servant of Two Masters will tour to the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and ArtsEmerson in Boston as part of their 2012-2013 Seasons.
