Roz White Set to Star in Pearl Bailey…By Request at MetroStage

Roz White is set to star in the world premiere of Pearl Bailey…By Request, written and directed by Thomas W. Jones II, to play MetroStage, October 16-November 9.

Pearl Bailey recorded “16 Most Requested Songs” for Columbia Records and was paired with artists such as Frank Sinatra. White will sing many of these songs, including “St. Louis Woman,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” and “The Hucklebuck.” William Knowles will provide arrangements and music direction for this production, which will feature a four piece band.

White’s other MetroStage credits include Bricktop, Rejoice, Mahalia, and Guys and Dolls.
