Ivo Van Hove's A View From the Bridge to Play LA and DC

Ivo van Hove's Olivier Award-winning revival of Arthur Miller's A View From the Bridge, which ran at Broadway's Lyceum Theatre during the 2015-16 season, will make its way to the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles and The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., later this year.
The production, for which casting is still to be announced, is set to make its West Coast debut September 7-October 16 at the Ahmanson, followed by the Kennedy Center run from November 18-December 3. The Kennedy Center mounting is presented by Center Theatre Group.
Originating at London's Young Vic Theatre in April 2014, van Hove's staging of the drama subsequently moved to Wyndham's Theatre on the West End, where it received 2015 Olivier Awards for Best Revival, Best Director, and Best Actor for leading man Mark Strong.
The Broadway mounting featured Strong as Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman whose lust for his fetching niece, Catherine (played by Phoebe Fox), leads to his downfall. The company also includes Nicola Walker as Beatrice Carbone, Michael Zegen as Marco, Michael Gould as Alfieri, Richard Hansell as Louis, and Russell Tovey as Rodolpho. All cast members but Zegen and Tovey are reprising performances they originated in England.
The production has scenic and lighting design by longtime van Hove collaborator Jan Versweyveld, costume design by An D'Huys, and sound design by Tom Gibbons.
