Mark Luna, Larry Tobias, Lari White, et al. Set for Tennesee Readings of An American Country Christmas Carol

The Boiler Room Theatre in Franklin, Tennessee has announced casting for three staged readings of An American Country Christmas Carol, to be offered December 5, 6, and 12.

The piece, which features a book and lyrics by Scott Logsdon, and music by Rand Bishop, Kent Blazy, Roxie Dean, Tim Finn, Billy Kirsch, J. Fred Knobloch, and Pam Rose, resets Charles Dickens’ holiday classic in the American south.

The company will feature Broadway veterans Larry Tobias (Ebenezer Scrugg), Mark Luna (Bob Cratchit), and Lari White (Mrs. Cratchit), along with Denice Hicks (Ghost of Christmas Past), Patrick Waller (Ghost of Christmas Present), Matthew Carlton (Marley/Fezziwig), Jama Bowen (Mrs. Fezziwig), Jaclyn Brown (Caroler/Barmaid/Farmer’s Wife), Erica Cantrell (Caroler/Melanie), Joann Coleman (Caroler/Emily), Cori Laemmel (Fan), Jeff Lewis (Bartender/Butcher), Alex Maddox (Belle), Joshua Maddox (Fred/Dick Wilkins), Tom Mason (Grandpa), and Lucas Phillips (Young Ebenezer).

The children’s ensemble will consist of Hope Dyra (Martha), Tyler Bond (Peter), Addison McFarlin (Belinda), Cynthia Lowe (June), Matthew Dyra (John) and Hayden Gill (Tiny Tim).

The readings will serve as benefits for three local charities, and at the performances financial donations for The YMCA Urban Youth Development Fund, contributions of non-perishable foods for Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, and unwrapped presents for The Last Minute Toy Store will all be accepted.
