El Invitado

Mario Diament’s El Invitado is a fable about searching for friendship and identity. When a middle class couple takes in an unexpected houseguest, they start to examine the past and the uncertain present to find what they are looking for in each other. The tempermental housepainter, Silvio, has a story for everything and as he becomes a fixture in their home, Nora and Lucio tolerate his outbursts and his disregard for them.
