Violet

Winner of the 1997 New York Drama Critic’s Circle Award for Best Musical, Violet makes its area premiere on the PRT stage. With music by Tony Award nominee Jeanine Tesori, and book and lyrics by Brian Crawley, this powerful story is filled with energetic, toe-tapping Gospel, Rock, Country, and Rhythm & Blues. The story is about a scarred girl who travels from North Carolina to Oklahoma in search of an evangelist who can heal her ailment.
