Grease

This is the story of summer lovers — the too-cool-for-school Danny Zuko and the sweet and naïve Sandy Dombrowski. Thinking theirs was just a summer fling, the pair are surprised to discover that due to a move by Sandy’s family, they will spend their senior year together at Rydell High. Danny struggles to keep his cool in front of fellow Burger Palace Boys, Kenickie, Roger, Sonny and Doody, while showing Sandy enough of the sweet side that attracted her in the first place. Meanwhile, Sandy is taken under the collective wing of the Pink Ladies, Rydell’s toughest and coolest chick clique. Her new friends, including the tough-talking Rizzo, ditsy Frenchy, epistolary Marty, and jokester Jan, soon have her smoking ciggies and ratting her hair, but does the girl underneath really change? Grease is the timeless tale of teen romance, dirty dancing and hot cars that plays out to a soundtrack of tunes that are regularly greeted with raucous enthusiasm by theatre-lovers everywhere.
