Society rarely makes room for nuanced depictions of suicide—or for those of us left grieving the inexplicable. I’m exhausted by the oversimplified portrayals repeated in media, politics, and religion. With The White Whale Journal, I want to push back against that silence and stigma. I want to create space—for complexity, for grief, and for those still wrestling with similar feelings.

We invite you to join them in the room to witness and respond to this brand new work.

They’ll share up to 45 mins of what they’ve been working on, followed by an opportunity for you to respond and provide thoughts and insight. Your feedback is welcomed and essential to the next phase of artistic development.
