Underground at the Abrons: Julianna Barwick with Pigeons

Underground at the Abrons series of cutting-edge artists continues with solo performer Julianna Barwick. Layering vocals and sounds to create otherworldly, beautiful compositions, her music has far more in common with modern classical artists than your average pop band, and proves without a doubt she is an artist who refuses to fit into easily defined categories.

Opening the evening is Pigeons, an NYC trio offering drugged, hallucinogenic dub-rubbered song constructs with various connections to the whole Sea Donkeys/Sublime Frequencies camp.
