Pulcinella

Often considered the first piece of Stravinsky’s neoclassical period, Pulcinella served as a gateway for Stravinsky’s second phase as a composer. Complexions Contemporary Ballet brings its own modern, multi-cultural spin to this lively work with word premiere choreography by Co-Artistic Director Dwight Rhoeden, and featuring Co-Artistic Director Desmond Richardson, a performer hailed by The New York Times as "one of the great modern dancers of his time."
