In spring 1954, Georgette Thomas and her young daughter arrive full of hope in a small Texas town. Georgette has been working hard for the last six years, raising money to help her husband get out of prison. Now she plans to join him and start their family’s life anew. Heartache and love are in store for her at the end of the line in this bittersweet tale of survival.
