About This Show

Roots & Branches Theater presents Playing Lear, a complete re-examination of it’s production of Lear and Now, presented last year. The piece is an autobiographical exploration of Shakespeare’s King Lear, written and directed by Arthur Strimling with David Schecter and the ensemble. It includes memorable personal stories from the cast that riff on King Lear, as well as new songs composed by David Schechter and a new score by composer Giancarlo Vulcano.

The opening night performance on Wednesday, May 15 includes dinner with the cast following the show. Tickets are $150.

The closing performance on Sunday, May 19 is followed by a wine and cheese reception with the cast. Tickets are $50.
