INTAR Hispanic American Arts Center presents Jose Triana’s drama Night of the Assassins. The play was hailed as a masterpiece in its original 1965 production when it was invited to play at an international theatre festival in France. A victim of widespread censorship in the 60’s, the play was banned for 30 years in Cuba. In the intervening years it has become the most-often-produced Latin American play in the Spanish-speaking world. The intense production follows three siblings who lock themselves in a basement, each taking roles enacting the brutal murder of their parents.
