About This Show

Middle Beast is written and directed by Joe Kodeih. In a place called the Middle Beast, three men meet. The first is called Joseph, the second Josef, and the third Youssef. The three of them look similar but with few differences. A big struggle takes place between them: Who invented falafel? Who’s the direct descendant of Abe (Abraham)? Who’s the best dancer? During their struggle, all three fall in love with a woman called Eva, who appears at her balcony every once in a while. The play is an ironic vision of the struggles in the Middle East, with music, live singing, and dancing (opera, Lebanese, Arabic, Jewish, Russian, French, American.)
