About This Show

On The Verge Theater Company and HERE present the critically acclaimed Lesbian Pulp-O-Rama in A Very Pulpy Christmas.

Learn who’s been naughty and who’s been nice as Lesbian Pulp-O-Rama’s warped women sass up the holiday season with five brand new vignettes, including the soon-to-be holiday classics “Silver Bells,” “The Ballad of Ebeneza Scrooge,” “Orphans! The Musical,” “Hollywood Harlots” and “Sorority Sluts.” A bold, brash (even tawdry) alternative to the tired Christmas chestnuts, Lesbian Pulp-O-Rama’s A Very Pulpy Christmas inspires holiday queer.

Lesbian Pulp-O-Rama! is created by Heather de Michele, Anna Fitzwater,
Gretchen M. Michelfeld and Beatrice Terry. It is inspired by the
sensationalistic lesbian pulp fiction novels of the 1950¹s and 60’s. The
step-sister of pulp fiction (dime store paperbacks), lesbian pulp was
overtly melodramatic, following the formula of a predatory dark-haired butch
seducing an innocent, fair femme. Reflecting the mores of the day, lesbian
pulp novels always ended tragically. Both homage and affectionate satire,
Lesbian Pulp-O-Rama! celebrates warped women, sapphic seductions and deviant desires!
