Mario Batali – Roasted, Battered, and Fried

About the Show

Famed chef and restaurateur Mario Batali removes his clogs and apron and steps out of the kitchen and into the fire to be Roasted, Battered, and Fried for the New York Comedy Festival (NYCF). All proceeds from the event benefit the Food Bank For New York City, the city’s primary supplier of food for the hungry.

A cocktail reception, beginning at 6:30 PM, kicks off the evening, followed by dinner at 7:30 PM and the not-to-be-missed roast at 8:45 PM. Batali is not preparing the food for the evening… afterall, he’s the main course.

“I couldn’t think of a better person to roast than Mario. He’s such a great character, it’s sure to be a fun evening for everyone,” says Caroline Hirsch, owner of Carolines on Broadway and co-founder of the New York Comedy Festival. “It’s all for a good cause, and we’re thrilled to have a worthy New York charity such as the Food Bank For New York City join us this year.”
