Ping Chong and Benjamin Bagby conceived and direct Curse of the Gold: Myths from the Icelandic Edda. The legends found in the ancient Icelandic Edda from the basis for a unique collaboration between famed medieval music ensemble Sequentia and the stunning direction of Ping Chong. The Edda is one of the earliest medieval manuscripts and reflects the Pagan beliefs of pre-Christian Iceland. Many of the legends and heroic characters have found their way into other incarnations. The piece is sung in Icelandic (with English supertitles) with spoken text in English.
