Eva Peron’s journey to charismatic, powerful and controversial First Lady of Argentina from her poverty-stricken roots in the outskirts of Buenos Aires is a star-making, tour de force role in one of the most challenging and memorable scores in musical theater that includes “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” “Buenos Aires,” and “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina.”  Evita won eight Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Score in 1978.
