One Flea Spare

About the Show

During the Black Plague of 1665, an aristocratic London couple is invaded by a young girl and a sailor on the lam. Forced to live in quarantine together, the secrets and sins of the four shut-ins are laid bare. Winner of the 1996 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, the 1996 Fellowship of Southern Writers Drama Award, and the 1996 Kesselring Prize, Naomi Wallace’s One Flea Spare is an intimate and often disconcerting play about class, sex, desire and disease. Kyla Astley directs.
