Chelsea Girl

Chelsea Girl is a “24-hour” theater production based on the life of Ida Rudolph, a lifelong resident of Chelsea. On Friday, September 28, a group of 30 actors, musicians, and visual artists meet at the theater at 6:30 to begin an interview with Ida. After collecting Ida’s stories — from the tragic to the hilarious — they split into teams. At 8:00 on Friday each team begins their 24-hour challenge to turn one of those tales into a dramatic piece to be performed at 8:00 Saturday September 29.
