Blurring the distinction between theater and life, The Car Plays is an environmental event of short plays simultaneously performed inside 15 parked cars on the Community Plaza.

15 Cars; three rows of 5 cars each; each row represents a cycle of 5 plays; Audience members move from car to car to see all 5 plays in one row/cycle

With actors and audience sitting side by side in the front or backseats, Car Plays creates a new performance model of voyeuristic intimacy as it explores LA’s car-obsessed culture.
