South Pacific

South Pacific is adapted from two short stories by James Michener and takes place during World War II. The first story tells of the love between a Navy nurse from Little Rock named Nellie Forbush and wealthy French planter Emile De Becque. The second revolves around Lt. Joe Cable and his romance with a young Polynesian girl. This memorable Rodgers and Hammerstein classic features songs such as “Some Enchanted Evening,” “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair” and “Bali Ha’i.”
