Session 4 2025: iO Music Improv Level 1-M

Level M1 introduces you to the tools and techniques used to craft high-quality improvised songs. Over the course of 8 weeks, you will learn how to create melodies, lyrics, and rhymes in real time and to exhibit their storytelling skills through their singing, culminating in a performance at an end-of-session- showcase. By working as an ensemble, the class will improvise scenes that inspire songs, and build upon their existing improv skills to explore characters, stories, and worlds through enthralling musical numbers. Students who complete this level will be able to analyze, understand, and produce improvised songs that are not only entertaining, but also enhancements and expansions upon your scenework.
