No Sex Please, We’re British!

Elgin Community Theatre kicks off its 53rd season with the long running
British farce No Sex Please, We’re British!, by Anthony Marriott and Alistair Foote. Jeffrey B. Small directs.

Newlyweds Peter and Frances Hunter have just moved into a flat above
the bank where Peter works as branch manager. They look forward to a
pleasant, happy, quiet beginning to their new life; however, due to an
unfortunate mix-up with mail-order household items, they instead are
deluged with pornographic material. They soon find themselves, along with Peter’s respectable and humorless assistant Brian, attempting to dispose of the material as fast as it arrives, all the while hiding the activity from Peter’s snob of a mother, his boss and a bank inspector who has arrived for a surprise visit.
