Eight Panels

Edna Welthorpe Productions presents the world premiere of Eight Panels, a tragicomedy in one act, written by Chicago-based playwright and actor Jesse Weaver. Centered on the emotionally complicated relationship of an itinerant cartoon teacher and his incredibly talented student, the play is a satirical look at the sometimes unbridgeable gap between artists and the intellectuals who interpret and criticize their work. This rapid-fire script follows a grifter whose professional jealousy and love-struck heart complicate his scam. Jessi D. Hill directs.

Running time: 45 minutes with no intermission.

The Hungry Brain is a full service bar and will serve patrons during the performance.
