Julie Andrews makes her directorial debut with the play in which she starred on Broadway in 1954.
Set in the Roaring 20s at a school for perfect young ladies on the French Riviera, The Boy Friend follows an ingenuous debutante desperately seeking a beau who will love her for more than her money. Including a gaggle of girls, their French principal, a lecherous Viscount and more, the musical is a little gem filled with classic songs such as “Won’t You Charleston With Me?,” “All I Want is a Room in Bloomsbury,” “I Could Be Happy With You” and “It’s Never Too Late to Fall in Love.”
There is a special added performance Sunday, August 24th at 3pm.
