Jason Robert Brown’s musical Parade is based on the actual case of Leo Frank, a Jewish man falsely accused of killing a thirteen-year-old girl in Atlanta in 1913. The events leading up to and following Frank’s trial led to the formation of the Anti-Defamation League in 1913 and the trial became known as “The Trial of the Century.”
