Ronnie Larsen Presents in association with Plays of Wilton (POW!) is presenting a production of the musical
108 Waverly with book and lyrics by the Carbonell award-winning Dan Clancy and music by Lynne Portas in November 2023. This clever and heartfelt musical about love and relationships over 70 years is being directed by Carbonell award-winning director, Bruce Linser. Two gay couples occupy the same apartment at the title’s location in Greenwich Village, New York City. The two couples never meet as they occupy the space seven decades apart.
Clancy’s narrative explores love and acceptance in consecutive lifetimes and delves into the impression that little has changed in attitudes regarding homosexuality in 70 years. Lynn Portas has musically juxtaposed the two time periods by means of edgy, rockish musical themes against classic melodic styles. Coupled with the comprehensive writing style of Dan Clancy,
