Set in the late 1970s "Rolodex era," the musical follows three unlikely female coworkers pushed to the breaking point by their "sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot" of a boss, Franklin Hart Jr.. After a series of workplace indignities, the trio concocts a wild plan to kidnap their supervisor and take control of the company that has always kept them down. 

While their boss remains "otherwise engaged," the women implement a dream makeover of the office, introducing progressive policies like flexible work hours and equal pay, ultimately proving there is nothing they can't accomplish together.
