The Beauty Queen of Leenane

When an aging manipulative mother interferes with her spinster daughter’s only chance for love, she gets more than she bargained for in this darkly comic tale. Old Meg Folan and her spinster daughter Maureen are locked in a battle of shrewd wits and iron wills, each spending her days harboring ancient grudges, plotting revenge and reveling in tiny victories. But Mag’s manipulations in Maureen’s last chance at love sets in motion a chain of events that is as gothically funny as it is horrific.
