California Theatre Center presents Proof, by David Auburn. This Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-award winner examines trust, love, duty and sanity by combining elements of mystery and surprise with old-fashioned storytelling to provide a compelling evening of theatre.

Catherine, a troubled young woman in her mid-twenties, has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. Now, following his death, she must deal with her own volatile emotions, the arrival of her estranged sister, and the attentions of her father’s former student. These events lead her to question how much of her father’s madness or genius she has inherited.
