Theatre 40 opens its 2006-2007 Season with Neil Simon’s Rumors. Simon’s play, a “farce of ridiculous consequences,” opens at a tenth wedding anniversary party that never begins because as the guests arrive they find that the host has shot himself, there are no servants, and the hostess has disappeared. Simon’s original sense of humor keeps the audience alive with laughter as the host’s lawyer tries to plan a cover-up and the guests try frantically to protect their host who is the deputy mayor of New York.
There are additional 2pm matinees on Saturday, August 12, 19, & 26, and Sunday, July 30, August 6, & September 3.
