About the Show

Simon Gray’s Quartermaine’s Terms is a delicate chamber work set in the staff room of an English language school for foreigners. Often hilarious and infinitely touching, the play is filled with the heartfelt trials and tribulations of six teachers and their boss, who runs the school with his offstage homosexual lover. St. John Quartermaine is one of these teachers. He is distracted and disconnected, yet elegant and endearing in the midst of the assorted faculty tensions swirling about him.
