7 Rooms: The Masque of the Red Death
Pay What You Can
7 Rooms: The Masque of the Red Death is an immersive virtual theatre experience where audience members “choose their own adventure” as they navigate Prospero’s decadent end-of-the-world party while a plague devastates the world outside. Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s deliciously macabre short story, “The Masque of the Red Death,” seven playwright-director teams have created seven fully staged short plays united by a live solo performance by powerhouse actor Juliet Bowler as the gregarious host of the party, Prospero. These assembled works create an evening of theater that explores isolation, connection, moral dilemmas, humor, and humanity during the time of plague.
