Winners Announced for SF Fringe Festival's "Best of the Fringe"

Twenty winners have been announced for the San Francisco Fringe Festival's "Best of the Fringe" awards. The Festival, which closed September 14, included 46 productions from the United States, Canada, Poland, and the United Kingdom.

Among the winners, Supersonic Theatre's EXIT Sign: A Rock Opera was named Best Musical, Alicia Dattner won Best Female Solo for her work in The Punchline, Paul Hutcheson won Best Solo Male Comedy and the Techie's Choice Award for his work on On Second Thought, and Omar Sangare won Best Performance for his work in True Theatre Critic. inFluxdance's Identity Crisis was named Best Dance Performance, the Pack of Others production of Peg-Ass-Us was named Best Comedy, Lost and Found in the Mission, presented by Boathouse & Co. Performance, was named Best Ensemble Performance, and End Times Productions' Knuckleball was named Best Play & Overall Production.

Four of the "Best" productions will present encore performances including EXIT Sign: A Rock Opera at 7:00 pm, September 26; Lost and Found in the Mission at 8:30 pm, September 26; Loving Fathers at 6:30 pm, September 27; and The Punchline at 8:30 pm, September 27.
