Sprinkle, Stevens to Continue Wedding Series with Green Wedding

Annie Sprinkle and Elizabeth Stevens will continue their Performance Art Wedding Series this month with Green Wedding at UC Santa Cruz, May 17. Veronica Hart will emcee this interactive wedding, which is free and open to the public. The themes of the wedding will be love, compassion, and heart.

Sprinkle and Stevens have dedicated themselves to create art projects that generate, celebrate, and explore love. Each wedding is devoted to a different theme and color. This year the brides will make vows to love and cherish the Earth.

Over seventy people will be participating in the wedding, including Guillermo Gómez-Peña as the High Aztec Priest, Linda Montano leading her Amore chant, Geoffrey Hendricks as the Flux Priest, and Nao Bustamante as the flower girl. The brides request that all guests wear green and dress in the themes of the wedding.
