Kerry Butler to Appear in La Jolla’s Moon Over Morocco Gala

Broadway star Kerry Butler will be the featured performer at the La Jolla Playhouse’s Moon Over Morocco gala benefit which will take place on Friday, October 24, beginning at 7pm. Proceeds will go to the theater’s new play development and educational outreach programs.
In addition to Butler’s performing, the evening will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a live auction, and a dessert and dance party featuring the Las Vegas-based band Zowie Bowie. Moroccan-themed attire is requested.
Butler most recently starred as Kira in the Broadway production of Xanadu, for which she received a 2008 Tony Award nomination. Her other Broadway credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, and Blood Brothers.
